Why did you choose the qualification you studied?

I wanted to know more about how money is handled in the workplace. This qualification not only helps me in the workplace but also helps me personally.

Is your qualification relevant to your job? If so, did your studies adequately prepare you for your job?

Yes, it is relevant to my position. My qualifications prepared me very well for the position I am in right now.

What is your greatest achievement to date career wise?

This is just the beginning for me as much more is yet to come. Getting a job here at WESSA as an intern and then being promoted to Debtor's Clerk has been awesome.

What are your future career plans?

I would like to study further. I'm still deciding between CIMA and CA(SA) studies. But opening my own business one day is something that I plan to do.

How has the Career Centre assisted you while you were at Varsity College and / or as a graduate?

The Career Centre has assisted me a lot. The workshops helped me gain confidence for interviews and also played a role in obtaining this position at WESSA.

What was the one thing that stood out the most for you about Varsity College?

The staff from VC are very caring. They want every student that walks into VC to graduate and do well in the future. That stood out for me.

What advice could you give to other students who are looking for or about to embark on their first job?

They should persevere. They should stay in contact with their Career Centre Coordinator. And keep checking the VC website for job posts. They should believe that they will get a job. We all need to start somewhere, you will get your dream job in the future. Take your life to the next level!
