STARS SHINE BRIGHT
Varsity College Pietermaritzburg recently hosted its exciting annual Night of the Stars where both students and lecturers were acknowledged for outstanding academic achievements from the previous year.
The guest speaker for the evening was a Varsity College alumnus, Zane Mchunu. He spoke enthusiastically and encouraged the students to maintain the high standards they had set for themselves. He spoke of Pietermaritzburg as a place where many people have succeeded; emphasising that every recipient present had the potential to be a success story of the future.
Students received a trophy and a letter of recognition as proud parents and guardians looked on. Lecturers were then acknowledged for Teaching and Learning excellence; categories included achieving 100% pass rates for their modules and outstanding contributions to the scholarship of teaching.
