OPEN DAY OPENS DOORS
Megan O’Connor, a Grade 12 learner at St Mary’s DSG, who would like to study Bachelor of Arts Corporate Communications degree next year, was the winner of the R10 000 lucky draw at the recent Varsity College Westville Open Day. 240 grade 12 learners were entered into the draw and learners had to have been for an interview with a student advisor, applied to study at Varsity College Westville and have attended the Open Day in order to qualify for the draw.
Timothy Brudson, a Grade 12 learner from Glenwood Boys High, won the IT LAN Tournament held during the weekend of the Open Day. He has applied to study Information Technology in Networking Management and won a 20% bursary for 2015 full time studies. Over 30 students attended the tournament.
