What is a Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching?

The IIE Bachelor of Education (Bed) in Foundation Phase Teaching (FPT) is an undergraduate professional qualification aimed at preparing graduates to teach learners from Grade R to 3. It’s a great starting point for a teaching career. This degree will equip Foundation Phase classroom teachers with the knowledge, skills and applied competencies for employability and further specialisation studies.

How long will it take me to get my Foundation Phase teaching Degree?

The IIE Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase teaching is offered on a full-time basis only. If you decide to study this programme, the minimum time is four years.

What subjects do you need to study this Degree?

To pursue this programme, you’ll need a National Senior Certificate (a matric) with a Bachelors pass. This will allow you to meet the entrance criteria to study this programme.What can I do with a qualification like this one?
