Plugging Into And Getting Amped

The eight Varsity College campuses were very excited about the arrival of the 2014 first year students, and as per Varsity College tradition, they were welcomed by O’WEEK. The purpose of O’WEEK? To get students plugged into the VC community and amped about campus life!!

Some of the more serious highlights of O’WEEK included opening addresses, where all opportunities available to students were introduced to students and their parents, through key VC team members. During the Whatsup Academic Days students ‘met’ with the on campus student support team, finding their way in terms of ‘who’s who and what’s where’. Students ended the days knowing their programmes and their ways about campus.

The lighter side of O’WEEK included Pub Lunches, Party Nights, the traditional and much enjoyed O’Games (with soapy mats / hockey on tarp / leaky buckets / inflatable obstacle courses having students in stitches) and the KwaZulu Natal campuses’ Ushaka Wet ‘n Wild, where the shallow pool was converted into a dance floor by one of the 5FM DJs.
