The Independent Institute of Education (IIE) Varsity College and The Open University have been working together on an exciting and innovative progression partnership that provides opportunities for IIE graduates to progress to an internationally recognised UK honours degree without the need to leave their country to study.
The Open University, IIE Varsity College are working together to fulfil their shared commitment to student-centred learning and to enable South African students to successfully transfer to online study with The Open University.
The OU is a world leader in modern distance learning, the pioneer of teaching and learning methods which enables people to achieve their career and life goals studying at times and in places to suit them. The OU is the largest university in the United Kingdom with more than 250 000 students and the only dedicated distance learning university in the United Kingdom.
The Open University recognises the following IIE degrees for credit transfer purposes onto the OU BA/BSc Open Honours Degree: IIE Bachelor of Commerce with specialisations in General Management, Financial Management (endorsed by CIMA) and Marketing Management (endorsed by MA(SA)), and the IIE Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication.
