Sponsorships

Varsity College is the proud sponsor of two surfski schools, operating from two premier beaches on the South African coastline: Fish Hoek beach in Cape Town and uShaka beach in Durban. The sponsorship ties in with Varsity College’s philosophy of promoting a balanced student life.

The Varsity College Surfski School in Fish Hoek was founded by champion surfski paddler Dawid Mocke in 2003, and later assisted champion surfski paddler Barry Lewin establish the Durban Surfski school. Together they are dedicated to growing the school, where they would like to make surfski paddling accessible to everyone. Part of the school’s mission is to develop young surfski paddlers to a level where they will also be able to compete on an international level.
