Prospective Students

Contact your nearest campus and arrange an interview with a Varsity College Student Advisor who will provide you with valuable career and study advice. This will allow you to make a calculated and informed decision.

A limited number of students are provisionally accepted. It is therefore in your best interest to apply without delay. Applications will be processed in the order in which they were received.

How to Apply?:

Online :

  • Complete the online application form, ensuring all the fields are completed correctly. The online application submission will be sent to the relevant Varsity College campus. To process and confirm your application, a non-refundable application fee of R150 must be paid. This can be deposited directly into the Varsity College bank account via an internet transfer, direct deposit, or cheque. (After submitting the form electronically, the banking details of the campus you have selected will appear.)
  • Once you have paid the R150 application fee, please ensure that you fax a copy of the confirmation of payment using the unique 8 digit reference number, generated on your application submission form, as a reference.

 Post:

  • Either print the  online application form and complete the form manually or, remove the application form from the Varsity College brochure or diary and complete it manually.
  • Attach a cheque or postal order to the application form. (Please do not include cash when posting)!
  • Complete an internet transfer or direct deposit and attach the proof of payment to the application form.
  • Post to the Varsity College campus you have selected to study at.

By Hand:

  • Either print the  online application form and complete the form manually or, remove the application form from the Varsity College brochure or diary and complete it manually.
  • Make your application once you have completed your appointment with a Varsity College Student Advisor
  • Visit the Varsity College campus cashier office and make payment via credit card, debit card or cheque. (Please note that Varsity College is a cash free institution).

Unisa:

  • Should you be making application to study a UNISA degree through Varsity College, you are required to apply to UNISA over and above your Varsity College application.
  • In order to assist you with the UNISA application Varsity College will submit an application to UNISA on your behalf. Should you require Varsity College to assist you with this process we will require the following information.

    1. A UNISA application form.
    2. A certified copy of your ID Document.
    3. A copy of your latest grade 12 or equivalent results.
    4. Application fee of R200, (R150 for the Varsity College Application and R50 for the UNISA application)
  • The documentation can be submitted either directly to the campus or emailed to the relevant campus. Payment for the application can be made either by cheque or EFT.

    Please note: 
  • A prospective student applying at Varsity College to study a UNISA degree will not be processed until the UNISA application has been completed and the prospective student has confirmed with Varsity College the UNISA reference / student number.
  • Varsity College’s assistance relates to the UNISA application process. A prospective student is solely responsible for registering and submitting required documentation to UNISA when registration opens at the end of 2010.
