Dr Felicity Coughlan on SAfm - Students can follow their dreams despite tough university entrance requirements

Look further than University when deciding on post-matric studies

Hearing that you have not been accepted in to your university of choice is an extremely difficult thing to hear and process.  But this reality need not lead to despair, and could in fact be a blessing in disguise, a leading academic says.

Dr Felicity Coughlan, Director of The Independent Institute of Education (IIE), South Africa’s leading private education provider, says prospective students should investigate the opportunities and benefits of furthering their education with other institutions.

The IIE is a degree – conferring body for Varsity College. Dr Coughlan was on SAfm recently, discussing the importance of regulatory legitimacy when choosing an education provider and the focus of private institutions on graduate employability and strong career focus.
